Frits

The frits are granulated vitrifiables of a special composition arising from the melting of a glass batch and chilled hardly subsequently.

Ceramic frits

They serve as a half-finished product for the production of frit transparent, white and coloury glazes with lustrous, semi-mat and mat surface, eventually with the special effects, for the firing temperatures in the range of 940 – 1200°C. This frits are used as the melting additives to the semi-raw glazes for the firing temperatures of 1100 – 1300°C. The frit glazes are used largely for the surface treatment of ceramic facing tiles, kitchenware and art ceramics. The semi-raw glazes at the production of ceramic glazed compact tiles, sanitary ware and hight burnt kitchenware and art ceramics. It is possible to treat by the frit the body mass and engobes as well.

The flux

The fluxes are easily fusible frits with high content of sealed PbO und they are used as the half-finished product for the production of glass and porcelain colours, whereas they are grinded with the ceramic pigments and non-ferrous metals oxides, as a rule in non-aqueous medium (e.g. in ethylalcohol).

The packing

Frits

The frits are delivered in the sacks of woven polypropylene (PP) at 50 kg, eventually in PP textile bags at 1.000 kg. The sacks and the bags are stored on wooden palletes at c. 1 To and fixed by PE shrink-wrap or winding foil.

Milled frits

The powdered frits are delivered in metal plate barrels with PE-lining at 50 kg, event. – in smaller quantity – in PE sacks and paper casks. It is possible to agree individually with the prodecer on other kind of packing.

Storage ability

The storage ability of the frits is unlimited long, as far as they are stored in original packing in dry and dust-free environment, and as long as they are not exposed to the climatic influences.
