Generally, the colours are powdery decorative materials containing the fusible components pigmented for the most part by big quantity of ceramic pigments (or dyeing metals oxides) and eventually next additional substances. They are designed for the decoration of different ceramic materials, glass, porcelain etc.
The firing temperature: 750-850 °C. These colours are designed above all for the decoration of facing materials by means of so called „third firing“. The colour is applied to burnt facing and it follows the next firing at lower temperature than the original temperature of the firing of underlay glaze.
The firing temperature: it complies with the firing temperature of underlay glaze. These colours are used for the decoration of no-burnt glaze (for the most part white opaque). This technique is used e.g. at the painting on in color fired body, where the white opaque glaze has to cover the undesirable body shade. It is to the advantage of the colours theirs resistance against mechanical damage influence.
These colours are used to the decoration to raw don't yet burnt out white opaque glaze. These colours are referred to as majolica. To display more information and the spectrum of B-colours »
The firing temperature: it complies with the firing temperature of used transparent glaze. This colours are used to decoration at biscuit fired ceramic material. For the attainment of gloss, it is fited with a layer of transparent glaze. On the dab of upper layer of transparent glaze, the product will by dried and burnt at the temperature appropriate to the applied glaze.
The firing temperature: 780-850 °C. The porcelain colours are used for the decorating of utilities and ornamental ware of porcelain and of the glazed ceramic products. This colours are resistant partially against chemical influences. On the dab and desiccation, the colours are burnt at the appropriate temperature at perfect kiln ventilation. On the attainment of maximum firing temperature, the temperature is kept for the duration of c. 10 minutes.
The firing temperature: 530-560 °C. The glass colours are used for the decorating of utilities and ornamental ware of glass. The resistance of this colours against chemical and weather influences is not so high. The colours may not be used for action surfaces, that come into contact with the foodstuffs. On the application and the drying, the colours are burnt at the perfect ventilation of the kiln at the temperature of 530-560°C. This temperature is kept for the duration of c. 10 minutes.
The firing temperature: 580-640 °C. The acid-resistant glass colours are used for the decorating, marking and surface treatment of utilities and of ornamental wareof glass, above all of the container glass, technical and glass building panels. The colours are resistant against chemical and weather influences. After the desiccation, the colours are burnt at the perfect ventilation of the kiln at the temperature of 580-640°C. This temperature is kept for the duration of c. 10 minutes.
The firing temperature: 480-600 °C. The glazing compositions (scumble glaze) are calcined and milled compositions containing a large number of silver, copper, iron and other metals. They are used for the decoration of glass or for the marking of graduated glass products. By the firing of the glazing composition, by diffusion of metal ions to the surface layer of glas it arises the glas surface tincture. The glazing compositions are resistant against the chemical and weather influences. The shade and the intensity of the glazing composition are influenced by the glass proportion, whereon it is applied, the above mentioned firing temperature and the firing time at the maximum temperature. The shade intensity increases with the rising temperature. The suspension of the glazing composition will be coated to the product surface and after the dessiccation it will be burnt at appropriate temperature. On the firing, the suspension residues will be washed away.
