About company

Today's company Glazura Ltd. continues long tradition opened by the Prague factory Otto Schönbach. The production beginning in the Roudnice factory dates back to the year 1925 after the transfer of the production from Prague with majority owner Evžen Fröhlich.This history reminds the logo used today as well. The assortment at the time yet conformed in basic trends to today's composition of the production. In thirties, the factory was unique in central Europe by comprehensive offer for ceramic industry. In the next years, the capacity has been extended and modernized further in accordance with the demand increased.

Present time

The certain part of the earnings is invested in the increase of the production capacity, technical development, development of new products and improvement of quality control system. The master program - the production of ceramic frits - is realized at the modern continuous melting aggregates and them continued equipment for additional treatment. The production of precious metals preparations relies on the longtime tradition and utilization of up-to-date knowledge. The technical novelties are applied continuously in all productional subdivisions. It is placed the emphasis beside quality on the pproduction effectiveness.

Export share in total sales increases all the time, in the year 2008 it amounts 46% almost. Glazura Ltd. has its customers in 21 countries in the world.

Quality

The consistent quality of our products ist ensured continuously by technical final quality inspection. The control procedures are specified according to the customers needs and they are guaranteed by modern instrumentation. They are at ours disposal for example the X-ray fluorescent spectometer, X-ray diffractometer, heating microscope, device for the particles size metering MALVERN, speed-burning test gas kiln GRÜN, chromameter MINOLTA for the colourfulness metering and other apparatuses.

Oecology

The company Glazura invests in the development of products, they do not burden the living environment, and as well as in the technologies, that decrease the possible negative influence of production technologies. It sets an example the recycling of the sewage water, the combustions products treatment and the utilization of thermic waste.

Glazura s.r.o. - Green firm

In that our firm engaged to the project „Green firm“, it make possible to our employees to get rid by ecological way the time-expired small electrical appliances and batteries, whereby it extend significantly its activities in the sphere of environmental protection.

To the aim of the project „Green firm“ is the environmental protection by the provision of the back withdrawal and the effective recycling of wastes of time-expired electrical appliances. Those contain not a few of hazardous substances, as is the mercury, lead, cadmium, bromine combustion inhibitors and other, but lot of recyclable and usable materials.
The time-expired electrical appliances from the household, the employees can lay aside to the box, that is located in the porter's lodge corridor. This project of our firm make possible the recycling of the large company electro-waste also.

By the engaging in the project „Green firm“ shows our copmany the ecology thinking, namely towards the employees and towards the public also. It is about next step to our long-term aim - to reduce the environment damage. At the same time, we offer to our employees the benefit in the form of the possibility of the recycling of small „domestic“ electro-waste.

To the initiator of this project is the company REMA Systém a.s, which ensures the organizing of collection, sorting, recycling and treatment with the electro-waste in all Czech Republic.
